1310120 Dibenzazepine derivative CIBAGEIGY AG 9 March 1970 [31 March 1969] 11111/70 Heading C2C The novel compound, 10-hydroxy-10,11- dihydro - 5H - dibenz[b,f]azepine - 5 - carboxamide, is prepared by reduction, e.g. with hydrogen in the presence of copper chromite, of 10 - oxo - 10,11 - dihydro - 5H - dibenz[b,f]azepine-5-carboxamide. Pharmaceutical compositions having central depressant and anticonvulsive action, for oral or rectal administration, comprise the above novel compound together with a pharmaceutical carrier.
