Abstract

The invention relates to a device for signaling a caller identification (A), transmitted in a telephone network (PSTN) to a telephone set (2), to a remote location (3). The telephone network is provided with service intelligent unit (IN) and the remote location (3) is provided with an internet terminal (4) with an internet address (URL). The switching center (VB) is provided with an intelligent network hook (5) which transmits the caller identification (A) together with an identification (B) of the telephone set (2) to a service (SF) of the service intelligent unit (IN), and said service intelligent unit (IN) has an interface (7) to the internet (IP). An internet proxy (PXY) administers a database (DB) in which the telephone set identifications (B) can be input with their associated internet addresses (URL). The service (SF) transmits the caller identification (A) and the telephone set identification (B) via the interface (7) to the internet proxy (PXY). Said internet proxy (PXY) looks up the associated internet address (URL) in the database (DB) and transmits the caller identification (A) to the internet address (URL).
