Abstract

A desk top puzzle comprises a number of identical generally planar equilateral triangular pieces 10 and 11 joined to one another apex to apex by links 12. The Figure shows a sectional top plan view of a string of pieces that have been manually manipulated to form a composite regular triangle. Each link 12 is pivotably connected to one piece 10, say, and pivotably and slidably connected to an adjacent piece 11. This allows the pieces to swing through a relative are of 240°with respect to the adjacent piece. Integrally formed ledges 17 provide a gripping or braking of ends 18 of the links to resiliently hold the pieces abutting side by side, that is in closed positions.
