Abstract
The present invention discloses a system destined for the dense storage, location and sorting of miscellaneous objects such as boxes of various products in a Storage and Distribution Center. The purpose is to achieve high storage density and, at the same time, to facilitate the retrieval and sorting of objects. The thoughtful placement of the different objects makes it possible to significantly reduce the empty spaces that exist between them in conventional storage and sorting systems. The passive rearrangement of objects through minimized friction and the towing mechanism create short retrieval corridors, reducing the need to organize and align products which requires significant investment. The invented system could be widely applied in Warehouse and Distribution Centers that manage a large number of products (codes) of different geometries.
