Abstract

Η ολική αρθροπλαστική της ποδοκνημικής αποτελούμενη από την κνημιαία πρόθεση (Α), την πρόθεση του αστραγάλου (Β1 ή Β2) και το πλαστικό (Γ) δημιουργεί μέσω της προέκτασης της κνημιαίας πρόθεσης (Α), του οδόντα (5) μια κάθετη αρθρική επιφάνεια με την υποδοχή (8) της πρόθεσης του αστραγάλου αποτρέποντας έτσι την πλευρική αστάθεια και την στροφή σε μετωπιαίο επίπεδο. Συνάμα επικεντρώνει και κατανέμει τις δυνάμεις σε όλη την οριζόντια αρθρική επιφάνεια μεταξύ του πλαστικού (Γ) και της οροφής του αστραγάλου. Επίσης γίνεται ισχυρότερη η καθήλωση της κνημιαίας πρόθεσης στο οστόν της κνήμης μέσω του δευτερεύοντος σταθεροποιητικού παράγοντα. Το πλεονέκτημα αυτής της εφεύρεσης είναι ότι δημιουργεί μια πιο σταθερή άρθρωση με αντοχή στο χρόνο.
