Abstract
999,172. Shirt collars. J. R. LACOSTE. Nov. 23, 1961 [Nov. 28, 1960], No. 41988/61. Heading A3V. A shirt with a V-neck cut away at the front is provided with an elastically ribbed collar, sewn to the opening 3a, 3b of the shirt at its lower edges, and folded over and sewn along part of its outer edges from 8a, 8b to provide a guide for a tie. The lower edges may be acutely angled as in Fig. 2 so that the lateral edges 7a, 7b may be sewn together over the greater part of their height. In the embodiment of Fig. 3 the lateral edges of the collar are overlapped and sewn to opposite sides of the shirt opening. Specification 844,890 is referred to.
