Abstract

997,833. Aerosol dispensers. COOPER, McDOUGALL & ROBERTSON Ltd. March 14, 1963 [March 30, 1962], No. 12241/62. Heading F1R. The valve of an aerosol container is intermittently actuated and released by means of an operating arm 17 and a release arm 16, the arms being pivoted at 18 and drawn together by a spring 23 and engageable with respective cam tracks 15, 13 on a cam mechanism driven through gearing by a synchronous electric motor. The arm 17 carries an adjustable member 20 which opens the valve 7 when the step in cam 15 releases the arm 17; subsequently the step in cam 13 releases the arm 16, a stop 24 on which engages the arm 17 to raise it and allow the valve to close. The valve may be of the metering type.
