Abstract
996,601. Transistor invertor circuits. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. Sept. 29, 1961, No. 35261/61. Heading H3T. An invertor for producing alternating current from direct current comprises a pair of transistors 1, 2 having the collectors connected to the primary windings of transformers T1, T2. The circuit is made self-oscillatory by positive feedback from secondary windings 7, 8 of T2 to the bases of the transistors and the frequency is stabilized by a pair of Zener diodes 13, 14 connected across one of the windings of transformer T2. As described, the core of transformer T2 should have a rectangular hysteresis loop. The frequency is adjustable by variable resistor 15. A diode 10a and resistor 10b facilitate starting. The frequency stability can be further improved by connecting to terminals 16, 17 the circuit shown in Fig. 2. The primary current in T2 is now controlled by transistor 19 which is itself controlled by the voltage from Zener diode 21 adjustable by variable resistor 20.
