Abstract

995,705. Telegraphy. TESLA NARODNI PODNIK. July 11, 1963 [July 30, 19621, No. 27492/63. Heading H4P. An output circuit for providing double current telegraph signals comprises two transistors and includes means for preventing an excessive voltage on the transistors. Such excess of voltage, or an open circuit line, can be indicated. The transistors T 1 , T 2 and resistors R 1 , R 2 form the arms of a bridge circuit, the batteries TB one diagonal and the telegraph line R z the other diagonal. Double current signals are obtained by variation of the base voltages. To prevent excessive voltage on the collectors the line R z is shunted by diodes D 1 , D 2 which are biased to TB volts. A relay P is energized if either D 1 or D 2 conducts, thereby indicating a fault in the circuit or an open circuit of line R z .
