Abstract

A composition for the treatment of hair comprises an aqueous solution, suspension, cream or emulsion of a copolymer of a vinyl ester, an acrylic polymer and a volatile organic solvent. Example 1 describes a composition consisting of sodium polyacrylate, a vinyl acetate-vinyl pyrrolidone copolymer, water, methylated spirit, and boric acid.ALSO:Hair is waved and set by treating it with an aqueous solution, suspension, cream or emulsion comprising a copolymer of a vinyl ester, an acrylic polymer and a volatile organic solvent. Example 2 describes waving hair with a composition consisting of sodium polyacrylate, a vinyl acetate-vinyl pyrrolidone copolymer, water, methylated spirit and boric acid.
