Abstract
993,546. Suspended ceilings. CENTRE DE RECHERCHES DE PONT-A-MOUSON. June 17, 1963 [Aug. 29, 1962; March 12, 1963], No. 23968/63. Heading E1V. Plane or corrugated panels A are clamped on to the lower flanges of support rails C by spring steel clips b, and the rails C are suspended from transverse metal purlins B by a combination of stirrups 1, having notches 3 and a slotted base 2, spacing rings 4 surrounding the stirrups, and hooked wedges 5, which may each have a toothed edge 6 (Fig. 2), or may be flat but have a flange projecting down one side of the ring 4 (Fig. 12, not shown). The purlins may each have one (Fig. 10, not shown) lower flange or two, and the support rails may be fixed to each other end-to-end by means of two short angle-section bars, one on each side of the webs of the support rails.
