Abstract
992,664. Arc-rupturing in switches. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. March 7, 1962 [March 24, 1961], No. 8765/62. Heading H2B. An arc-chute 1 contains a stack of insulating plates 3 and metal plates 2, and an arc initiation chamber 9 is mounted to provide air channels 12 between the walls of the chute and the walls of the chamber. The walls of the chute may be provided with openings 13 covered by perforated plates 14.
