Abstract

992,640. Shelf brackets. S. A. HIRSH MANUFACTURING CO. Jan. 16, 1962 [Jan. 26, 1961], No. 1508/62. Heading A4B. A hook type bracket 130 has an upstanding portion 66 to provide additional support on slotted rail 120. The sides of channel 124 support bracket 130 laterally and are recessed to receive the head of screw 160. On tightening the screw the bracket is clamped between the sides of the channel. In another form (Fig. 7, not shown) the bracket is formed integrally with a telescopic shelf having a telescopic guard rail. In a construction in which the brackets are formed as the side walls of trough-shaped containers (Figs. 1-6, not shown) the support rails are of simple channel section with slotted bases. Reinforcing partition members divide the troughs into compartments.
