Abstract
992,611. Control of A.C. motors. COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE. Feb. 18, 1963 [Feb. 16, 1962], No. 6433/63. Heading H2J. A stator phase winding 1A of a three phase reluctance motor is supplied from source 3 during time intervals depending on the conductive periods of semi-conductor controlled rectifiers 6, 7, having time-modulated rectangular pulses applied to their control electrodes from modulator circuits 8, 9, each comprising magnetic amplifiers. The circuits 8, 9, are rendered effective alternately according to the phase relationships between voltages which are respectively derived from source 3 and from the seconday winding 53b or 53a of a transformer, the voltage obtained from the winding 53a being in phase opposition to that from the winding 53b. The primary winding of the transformer is connected to a stator winding of a synchro transmitter 5 the rotor winding of which is supplied from source 3 through phase shifter 52. The angular position of the transmitter is adjustable at will, the rotating field of the motor reproducing the movement of the rotor of the transmitter at substantially the same speed. The other motor phases are controlled in a similar manner.
