992,591. Diaphragm pumps. ARTHUR LYON & CO. (ENGINEERS) Ltd. Dec. 19, 1962 [Dec. 19, 1961], No. 45490/61. Heading F1A. In a bucket diaphragm pump for liquids and semi-solids comprising spaced apart reciprocable diaphragms 18, 25, liquid is drawn through an inlet valve 13 and delivered through a bucket valve 22 to an outlet 17, and a leak-off passage is provided between a pressure relief valve 31 and its seating to provide lubrication of the upper surface of diaphragm 25. The pump is driven through a crank 45, e.g. by an electric motor. Specification 992,591 is referred to.
