992,092. Loading and unloading agricultural vehicles. F. STILLE, [trading as F. STILLE MASCHINENFABRIK]. July 26, 1963 [Aug. 16, 1962], No. 29652/63. Heading B8E. An agricultural vehicle 1 comprises a platform 3 having a conveyer passing over a roller 4 and a detachable main conveyer belt 5, 5<SP>1</SP> pivotally mounted about rollers 6, 7. In the position 5 with the platform conveyer running towards it the main conveyer acts to discharge the vehicle either to a further conveyer belt 15 or to other unloading devices such as shoots or worms 11. Provided with a pick-up conveyer 12 and with the main conveyer in the position 5<SP>1</SP> the platform conveyer is reversed and the system loads the vehicle compacting the material towards the front end. A weight 9 attached to the roller 7 or other tensioning means holds the main conveyer against the material as it is loaded increasing the compacting effect which may also be adjusted by the conveyer 15 which is adjustable in inclination about the roller 7. In a modification one or two reversing or indraft rollers are placed at the rear end of the platform between the conveyers 12, 5. Adjustable skimmers may be placed around the conveyers and rollers which are provided with scraper prongs.
