Abstract

990,670. Paper-making apparatus. LODDING ENGINEERING CORPORATION. Dec. 13, 1963, No. 49316/63. Heading D2A. A doctor blade holder 14 is secured by bolts 26 to supporting member 22, and adjustable means -for example screws 44- are mounted either in the supporting member 26 or holder 14, Fig. 1 (not shown), and engage the contiguous flat surface of the other member so that the holder may be slightly pivoted relative to the supporting member. Different screws 44 may be adjusted to different extents to warp the holder and thus to adjust blade 12 to the contour of the surface-for example a roll-to be doctored.
