Abstract
988,586. Automatic control of current and voltage. ROTAX Ltd. Oct. 31, 1962 [Nov. 7,1961], No. 39783/61. Heading G3R. In a current regulating circuit similar to that described in Specification 988,585, the time delay switch is omitted and a capacitor 28 is connected across the Zener diode 22. On initially connecting the circuit to a source of power,the reference voltage across diode 22 is not established until capacitor 28 is charged; during this time the reference voltage is provided by the capacitor 28 and is therefore lower than normal whereby the risk of high current flowing in the output circuit during the time taken for capacitor 26 to become charged is minimised. Capacitors 26, 28 are so chosen that the voltage across them builds up at approximately the same rate.
