Abstract
986,683. Photosensitive materials. KALLE A. G. Jan. 16,1962 [Jan. 25,1961], No. 1581/62. Heading G2C. A light sensitive coating which comprises a condensate of a diaronium salt of a p-diphenylamine and formaldehyde prepared under acid conditions and isolated as such from the crude condensate and the coating also contains, if the salt is not a neutral or acid phosphate,free phosphoric acid is coated on a support and used as a printing plate. Acids used in the condensation are phosphoric, sulphuric, hydrochloric or hydrofluoric and after condensation, the salt is precipitated by addition of alkali or the reaction product evaporated to dryness. In the examples, the condensation salts used are the phosphate, sulphate, bromide, chloride,trifluoroacetate,fluoroborate and 1:8 dinitronaphehalene 3, 6 disulphonate.
