A handle for a fishing rod having two spaced spigots 4, 5 at its butt end comprises a tubular member having sockets 9, 10 at its ends arranged so that the handle can be mounted on the rod in the position shown or can be removed and turned around so that the socket 9 engages spigot 4 and the handle extends beyond the end of the rod. The spigot 5 is movable along the rod and is held in position by nut 5a.
