Abstract

985,868. Elevated railways. BECKETT, LAYCOCK & WATKINSON Ltd. Dec. 18, 1963 [Dec. 28, 1962], No. 48898/62. Heading B7L. A railway comprises a rail 10 defining two tracks 20, 22 engaged by side-byside coaxial wheels 14, 15 made of a synthetic material e.g. nylon. Wheel 14 rotates on a spigot 12 fixed to plate 11 and wheel 15 has a stub shaft 17 rotatable in a bore in spigot 12. A sliding partition can be attached to plate 11. Other shapes of tracks and rollers are disclosed in Figs. 3, 4, not shown.
