[Also in Division B3] In a cooling device for machine tools, e.g. a boring machine, a setting cock 2a having a tapered plug 2 is rotatable by a short handle 4 between body 1 fixed stops 16 to adjust, but not to obturate, the flow of coolant through a bore 6 and is followed by a stop-cock 3a having a tapered plug 3 rotatable by a long handle 5 to obturate the flow of coolant delivered from a supply pipe 14 to an outlet spray pipe 12 upon a swivel plug 10. In an alternative embodiment, the stop-cock plug seats coaxially within a taper of the setting cock plug. The plug passages are of the full bore 6, and the lever 5 of the stop-cock may be actuated by mechanical attachment upon retraction of the machine-tool spindle.
