982,086. Continuous casting; straightening. DEMAG A.G. May 22, 1963 [June 29, 1962], No. 20503/63. Headings B3E and B3F. A device for straightening cast bars which have been cast vertically and curved horizontally comprises an upper roll 2 and a lower roll 3, the lower roll being mounted in a train of straightening rolls 4, 5, 6 and the upper roll 2 being adjustable by means 7 to suit bars of various sizes. An arm 8 connected to the spindle of roll 2 carries a straightening roll 9, which has adjusting means 10, and acts in co-operation with the last roll 6 in the lower train.
