982,005. Vehicle bodies. DAIMLER-BENZ A.G. Jan. 22, 1964 [Jan. 24, 1963], No. 2821/64. Heading B7B. A vehicle body has a side panel 4 formed with the inner wheel arch 1 and is stiffened by an angle-section pressing 5, the continuation 6 of the wheel-arch being secured to the panel 4 by a resilient moulding 7 having conical necked projections 10 engaging apertures 9 in the panel 4 and a recess to accommodate the flanged or rolled edge 8 of the panel 6. The bonnet 17 may extend over the wheel arches and be supported on a resilient strip 16. The edge 12 facilitates removal of the panel 6 and the strip 7 may be fixed by adhesive to the panel 4.
