Abstract

979,051. Automatic circuit-breakers. LICEN. TIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS-G.m.b.HMarch 30, 1961 [April 19, 1960; July 21, 1960], No. 11734/61. Heading H2B. An automatic circuit-breaker 1 having an actuating shaft parallel to its base 2 may alternatively be operated by levers 5, 10 from a shaft 15 rotatable about an axis at right-angles to the base 2. The lever 10 is secured to the shaft 15 and has a forked end engaging a carriage 9 slidable as guided by projections 12 extending into a slot in a fixed plate 8. The lever 5 is secured to the actuating shaft by a boss 4 and passes through a hole in the carriage 9 for movement therewith. An indexing pin 17 is provided and a pin 19 on the end of the lever 5 co-operates with a widened part (Fig. 3, not shown) of the slot in the plate 8 to ensure that the mechanism can only be dismantled in the " off " position.
