Abstract

The novel silicone compositions, curable to elastomers on exposure to moisture, are substantially identical to those of Specification 962,061, except for the titanium compounds which, in the present invention, are siloxytitanium compounds which fall into 2 main classes, viz. (1) those containing 4 organosiloxy radicals per Ti atom and (2) those containing from 1 to 3 organosiloxy radicals per Ti atom with the remaining valencies of Ti being satisfied by organic radicals, hydroxyl radicals and oxygen atoms of Ti-O-Ti linkages. Examples are given. Uses: in caulking and coating applications and in insulating electrical equipment. Specification 762,819 and U.S.A. Specification 2,843,555 also are referred to.
