Abstract

<PICT:0972035/C1/1> An apparatus for contacting liquids comprises a rotor 4 with discs 5 and 6 mounted on the shaft by flanges 7 leaving a gap between them and the horizontal shell 1. Bucket tubes 8 fit in the six slots in the discs such slots being the shape of the bucket or of a circular shape allowing liquids to pass as well as through other unfilled holes. The direction of rotation is such that the longitudinal slots are in the leading side of the bucket tubes. The mode of operation and inlets &c. are not described, being similar to Specification 860,880.
