969,163. Tables. E. HANSEN. Feb. 20, 1963 [Aug. 1, 1962], No. 6895/63. Heading A4H. [Also in Divisions B4 and D1] A table top 1, primarily intended to support a sewing machine, is supported by two end members 2 interconneted by a member 3, each of which members is identical in form. Each member is of flat, asymmetrical I-form, and has a peripheral flange 4. The upright portion of each member is formed adjacent each end with a hole 5. The flange of each horizontal portion has at each end a boss 6 formed with a notch 8, and at a position opposite the upright portion has a thickening 9 formed with three holes 10. The notches 8 of member 3 are connected to the holes 5 of the members 2 by bolts 7. Member 3 can be arranged either as shown or inverted, to provide a greater or less space between member 3 and the table top 1. The latter is secured to the member 2 by bolts engaging the notches 8 of the latter. A frame 11 is pivoted between the members 2 at any aligned pair of holes 10, and is supported by an adjustable stud 14. A treadle 12, for foot operation of the sewing machine, is pivoted to the frame 11, the latter may be raised, to provide for cleaning thereunder, by pressure applied to lugs 13 thereon.
