Abstract

Incompatible coatings of adhesives on two labels (Division B8) intended to be joined together back to back comprise in coating 1 rubbery polyisobutylene, low molecular weight tacky polyisobutylene, pure hydrocarbon terpene tackifier resin, rosin ester tackifier resin and ditert.-amyl hydroquinone; and in coating 2: copolymer of isoamyl acrylate and acrylic acid or, methyl isoamyl acrylate polymer or copolymer of fusel oil acrylate and methyl isoamyl acrylate or polyvinyl ethyl ether or a mixture of polypropylene glycol and polyacrylic acid. Another example given is copolymer of fusel oil acrylate and methyl isoamyl acrylate for one coating and copolymer of fusel oil acrylate and acrylic acid for the other.
