[Also in Divisions A4, B8 and F1] Intermittent gearing for shaft 38, upon which rotates a beverage (coffee) brewing drum, comprises teeth 52, 148, on gears 50, 116, fast with the shafts 38 and 108, respectively, and extensions 56, 58, on gear 50 which engage a smooth segment 150 of gear 116 thereby backing the shaft 38 against rotation; the changes are initiated by the interaction of the extensions 58, 56, with notches 153, 151, in gear 116.
