Abstract
968,317. Disc wheels. COMPAGNIE GENERALE DES ETABLISSEMENTS MICHELIN RAISON SOCIALE MICHELIN ET CIE. July 31, 1963 [July 31, 1962; June 12, 1963], No. 30392/63. Heading B7C. In a drop-centre rim disc wheel the disc 5 is tee butt-welded to a curved portion of the rim connecting the base and sidewall of the well. The disc 5 extends away from the weld substantially along a radius of the curved portion. Two welds, as shown, or one weld may be used. The depth h of the well may be 2-15% less than standard, and to simplify tyre mounting the bead-retaining flanges 2 are curved over, as shown, subtending at least 120 degrees and preferably 180 degrees.
