Abstract
967,916. Bearings. EISENWERK ROTHE ERDE G.m.b.H. June 26, 1963 [June 30, 1962], No. 25403/63. Heading F2A. A wire race thrust ball bearing has a pair of wire race rings, each of which has a ball track ground therein, the radius of the track being' slightly greater than the radius of the balls. The diameter of the race wire is greater than in bearings having four wire tracks. The race rings may be built up in segments and may be of open or closed form. In an embodiment, balls 1 are mounted in tracks 6 of wire races 2, which are seated in an upper ring 3 and a lower ring 4 respectively. Cages, or separators, 5 are provided.
