Abstract
967,482. Valves. COPES REGULATORS Ltd. May 24, 1963 [Aug. 22, 1962], No. 32198/62. Heading F2V. A valve adapted to control flow between the inlet and outlet of a valve body (not shown), comprises a cylindrical cage member 8 for securing to a seat opening between the inlet and outlet, this cage having flow ports 7 controlled by an axially reciprocable cover member 3 sliding on the cage and having openings 2 which allow a space between the cover member and a closed end of the cage to be subjected to the pressure within the valve body, the cage being provided with two seats 5 and 9 above and below the ports 7 which co-operate with seats 4 and 9 on the cover member to effect sealing when the valve is closed.
