967,368. Lever lock and circuit controller assemblies. TYER & CO. Ltd. Aug. 23, 1962 [June 19, 1961], No. 22008/61. Heading B7N. A railway signalling lever lock and circuit controller assembly connected to a signal or points operating lever via a slide 6 comprises a base unit 1 accommodating the slide and separate lever lock and circuit controller units 19, 10 respectively, releasably mounted on the base unit by engagement of projections 20 on the base with recesses 21 on the units. The units are further secured by screwthreaded members 22 and electrical connection of the units to the base is by plug and socket which interconnect as the units are mounted in position. The lever lock unit includes an armature which falls away and locks the slide in position, to prevent operation of the associated lever, when its coil is de-energized. The circuit controller includes a rotary switch, via which the signal or points operating circuits are energized, which is operated by axial movement of the slide. This movement is transmitted to the switch via a rack 8 and a pinion 9, which drives the switch, and oblique slot in the slide which engages a projection on the rack.
