An anticorrosive coating composition comprises chlorinated rubber, ethyl cellulose, acrylic resin or polyurethane resin and a chelating agent for copper in the cuprous state, e.g. benzotriazole.ALSO:An anticorrosive coating composition comprises an organic surface coating medium (e.g. chlorinated rubber, ethyl cellulose, acrylic resin and polyurethane resin) and a chelating agent for copper in the cuprous state (e.g. benzotriazole).ALSO:Panels of copper, brass and copper-zinc alloy are brushed with an anticorrosive coating composition comprising chlorinated rubber, ethyl cellulose, acrylic resin or polyurethane resin and a chelating agent for copper in the cuprous state, e.g. benzotriazole. The coating may be removed by stripping.
