Abstract
966,921. Cable casings. K. G. ANDERSSON. Jan. 11, 1962 [Jan. 12, 1961], No. 1063/62. Heading H2C. [Also in Division E1] A cable casing has a resilient flap 1 (Fig. 1) which may be bent back as shown dotted to permit insertion of the cables. In this arrangement the extension 4 depending from the casing base 2 is clamped between the skirting 3 and the wall 5. In a further arrangement (Fig. 3, not shown), the base is a continuation of the curved cap and is pasted or nailed to the front face of the skirting, while in the arrangement of Fig. 2 (also not shown) the depending flap is omitted. Where the skirting has an inclined front face (Fig. 4, not shown) the inside of the depending portion is provided with a part fitting the inclined skirting so that more cable room is available. In Fig. 5 (not shown) the cable housing and skirting are produced in one piece of synthetic plastics, in Fig. 6 (not shown) the skirting is omitted and the case has a box-shaped bottom portion while in the arrangement of Fig. 7, the casing is held to the wall by a ridge or press studs 7 engaging ridges 8 mounted on the wall.
