Abstract
A concrete mix suitable for forming the wall of a swimming bath without frontal shuttering (see Division A4) consists of 25 gallons of water, 1750 lb. of 3/4 inch gravel or crushed stone, 1400 lb. of sand, 650 lb. of Portland cement, 26 lb. of air entraining agent and 300 lb. of lime. The amounts of lime and air-entraining agent may be varied. Suitable air-entraining agents are triethanolamine salts of sulphonated hydrocarbons and the sodium salt of rosin acid resin.
