The phase separating walls 1 of a switchgear structure have ribs and projections 4 which carry the switch parts, the walls being held together by means of the said switch parts. The walls 1 may be of polyester reinforced with glass-fibre. The complete assembly can be mounted in a cell or on a wall or truck (Figs. 3, 4, not shown).
