Abstract

962,415. Warming cupboards. JAMES STOTT & CO. (ENGINEERS) Ltd. April 3, 1963 [April 4, 1962], No. 12871/62. Heading F4W. A warming cupboard comprises a series of horizontal shelves 9 disposed in vertical succession and hot air fan means 10 at the base of the cupboard adapted to blow hot air into a region between the near edges of the shelves and the back of the cupboard. Between the back 3 and the false back 7 is disposed heat insulating material whilst on the front there are provided doors 8, an on-off switch 13 which controls together with a thermostat, the hot air fan means, and a grille 6 for the intake of air. Air is blown through a perforate guard 12 and behind the vertical baffle 11. In a modification air is drawn downwardly between the back and false back from an upper opening, the heat insulating material being omitted, and is blown, by the hot air fan means, upwardly in a channel-shaped duct whose open side faces forwards. Air circulation may be encouraged by adjustable deflectors secured to the inwardly-facing surfaces of the channel.
