962,192. Selenium rectifiers. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. Aug. 31, 1962 [Sept. 5, 1961], No. 33507/62. Heading H1K. In a method of producing selenium rectifiers a metallic selenide layer is provided between the metallic carrier electrode and the semi-conductor layer by dipping the electrode in a hydrazine solution containing selenium. An arrangement is described in which the base electrode of iron or aluminium is galvanically nickel-plated and then dipped in a hydrazine bath containing selenium, resulting in a uniform layer of selenide being formed on the electrode. Examples of reagent strength variations yielding comparable results are given.
