Abstract
961,770. Carrying conductors through partitions; bushing insulators. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. May 27, 1963 [May 28, 1962], No. 20365/62. Drawings to Specificstion. Headings H2C and H2E. A method of manufacturing an insulated conductor comprises bonding a layer of resilient i material to a part of the conductor, e.g. painting the conductor with an elastomeric compound, and moulding a synthetic resin around the conductor and said material, the arrangement being such that the resilient material will be compressed during the moulding operation, but will recover upon cooling and provide a seal between the conductor and the synthetic resin.
