The revolving reamer 22 of a juice extractor is mounted on a horizontal spindle 13 which extends through the vertical wall 29 of a strainer basket 27 and has at its other end a square section drive dog 15 for engagement with the auxiliary drive socket of a food mixing machine. As the reamer rotates an undulating disc 19 (or simple swash plate) on the spindle engages co-operating spaced projections 36, 37 (Fig. 1, not shown) on each of bearing plates 32, 33 (detachable for cleaning) causing the strainer basket 27 to oscillate about both a vertical and a horizontal axis simultaneously on spherical bearings provided by surfaces 17, 18 on the spindle and 34, 35 on the bearing plates. Pith and pips falling into the basket thereby accumulate adjacent the front wall 28 leaving the perforations in the bottom wall 31 clear to allow juice to fall into a housing 16 and collect in a central front portion thereof from which it flows into a container. A supporting sleeve 23 press-fitted into the reamer boss 25 fits over a hexagonal bar 20 screwed on to a stud projecting from the spindle 13, the bar 20 serving to hold the disc 19 in position.
