Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the general formula: <FORM:0960758/C1/1> wherein A is a tertiary amino group, their salts and the preparation thereof by reacting fluorenone with a Grignard compound Hal Mg (CH2)3A (Hal is a halogen atom), decomposing the intermediate to the corresponding carbinol and treating this with a dehydrating agent such as hydrogen chloride. Belgian Specification 577,057 is referred to.
