960,016. Root crop toppers. VYZKUMNY USTAV ZEMEDELSKYCH STROJU. Dec. 19, 1961 [Dec. 20, 1960], No. 45536/61. Heading A1F. A feeler drum 3 for a root crop topper is mounted on an arm 1 and comprises a series of discs 4 each of which has supports 5 which engage the crop to prevent the discs cutting into the crop too deeply. A knife 7 and an ejector 9 are provided and a spring 10 urges the feeler into engagement with the crop. An end disc 11 is larger than the other discs and has a smooth surface against which the knife bears.
