958,827. Inverting. SIEMENS-SCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. Aug. 14, 1962 [Aug. 16, 1961], No. 31175/62. Heading H2F. An inverter, of the type having a transformer with two primary windings connected alternately to a D.C. source through switching elements, is controlled so that on starting the first element to conduct does so for a shorter time than on subsequent occasions, so that the flux in the transformer does not exceed its normal maximum value. The inverter may be driven by an oscillator using a saturable transformer of low remanence which, if switched on with the inverter, will start with the desired short halfcycle.
