958,693. Machine tool details. CESKE ZAVODY MOTOCYKLOVE NARODNI PODNIK. June 28, 1961 [June 30, 1960], No. 23464/61. Heading B3B. [Also in Division B8] A reciprocating bar 1 engages and moves a plurality of workcarrying carriages 19 by means of respective pins 18. Each pin 18 is carried by a slider 5 which slides in a slot 4 formed in the bar 1. The pin assumes the upper engaging or lower non-engaging position in accordance with the position of the slider; and the slider is held in its upper or lower position by the engagement of a catch 6 in a notch 23, the catch being carried by the slider. The bar 1 is reciprocably driven by driving means 2 and a rack 12 carried by the bar, the limits of movement being defined by stops 13. The slider is displaced upwards or downwards by the engagement with stop 14 or 15 of a bolt 8 carried by the catch 6, the engagement causing the catch to pivot about an axis 7 to release the catch from the notch 23 to free the slider for movement. The bar therefore performs a uniform reciprocating stroke whilst the carriages are thereby displaced, thereby differing distances in dependence on the position of stops 14 and 15. Second embodiment (Fig. 7).-The reciprocating bar carries a plurality of screws 26, each screw carrying a nut 27 and having a slot 32 which engages a pin 25 of a load-carrying carriage 19. As the bar advances, the nut advances, being prevented from rotation by the engagement of a pin 28 upon a rail 31. When the pin 28 passes beyond the rail 31 and bumps against a stop 14 or 15, the nut rotates to release the carriage. The setting of the stops 14 and 15 determines the displacement of the carriage.
