A minor proportion of a styrene/butadiene thermoplastic resin is incorporated into an asbestos/cement composition. Proportions of 10-25% by weight of resin based on the final asbestos/cement product are specified. Resins specified are styrene/butadiene and styrene/acrylonitrile/butadiene.
