957,945. Joint-making packings. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 8, 1961 [April 6, 1960], No. 12300/60. Heading F2B. [Also in Division E1] A resilient sealing strip, e.g. of neoprene rubber, which has projections or tags extending out of a plane surface of the strip which lies against the surface of a part such as a door panel, frame or housing for electronic equipment, said projections or tags being adapted to enter and be retained in spaced holes in said part, comprises a ribless strip in which tags 3a, Fig. 2, are punched out, widthwise or lengthwise of the strip, preferably in pairs of closely adjacent oppositely extending tags and bent at right angles to the strip to be received in the same hole in the said part, or the strip may be moulded or extruded with a longitudinal rib 3, Fig. 3, and parts of the rib removed by cutting away so as to leave the spaced projections 3. To enable the tags or projections to be pulled through the holes in the part, their ends are extended as shown at 3c in Fig. 3.
