Abstract

953,659. Umbrellas and walking sticks. V. J. A. BULLOCK. Jan. 15, 1962 [Feb. 20, 1961], No. 6081/61. Heading A4P. An electric lamp, enclosed in a protective cage 13, is incorporated in the stock of an umbrella, sunshade or walking stick, and is provided with a pyramidal reflector 12 having its apex directed towards the lamp bulb 9 for reflecting light through the protective cage. As shown, a detachable lamp section is provided above the top catch for the runner of an umbrella, and is connected by lead 10 and switch 18 to a battery 21 in the umbrella handle.
