952,847. Valves. BELL'S ASBESTOS & ENGINEERING Ltd. Aug. 3, 1961 [Aug. 5, 1960], No. 27199/60. Heading F2V. The upper end 5 of a valve casing is provided with right and left-hand internal and external threads, respectively; the end 5 is closed by a threaded cover with a flange 4, the valve spindle 6 extending through the cover. A lock nut 7, which is screwed on to the external threads of the end 5, has a part 10 that overlies the flange 4. The lock nut may be in two halves which are interconnected by hinge pins.
